The introduction of the Playford College Community Hub has been a wonderful success for our community members, particularly pre-schoolers and parents.
The playgroup sessions have been positive and highly regarded, with preschoolers learning and developing skills and key communication and advancing in their literacy and social milestone.
Additionally, the Hub has introduced the ‘Little Believers Playgroup’ in 2024, which is a structured Islamic playgroup, focusing on Islamic pedagogy and helping parents teach their children more about their faith in a guided learning environment.
The Hub teaches English and facilitates computer, sewing, cooking and parenting sessions with the Sheikh and School Counsellor for mothers of the College and community. For each school Term, the Community Hub timetable changes offering different activities and sessions based on the needs and preferences of the community.
The College is delighted to continue to host the Community Hub and we are pleased to see so many families supporting and engaging with the program. The Hub is always happy to see new faces and welcome new members of the community.
